Job Purpose:
- Plan, manage and review team resources within their lines to achieve performance targets and department objectives.
- Ensure that the Quality, operation, maintenance, housekeeping and safety standards are maintained and improved.
Required:
• Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, increasing safety awareness and encouraging safety practices rules and regulations.
• Knowledgeable on all HACCP and QMS requirements. Knows the actions to take in the event of a violation of these requirements.
• Ensures that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in the area.
• Using effective communication to focus team working and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance and maintenance to all required QC, maintenance and operation records for all positions.
• Collect information on labor hours .
• Ensure that quality information and weekly, daily KPI’s are updated in the line’s display boards.
• Monitor and review process parameters, downtime/efficiency loss (SAM reports), daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings.
• Feedback relevant information and action points to the team during daily on-the-floor communications and shift debrief.
• Collect feedback from operators during the review meetings and create improvement action plans using support of CI Manager when required.
• Follow up corrective/preventative actions defined by team.
• Prepare draft plans for discussion with the next Team Leader into the lines
• Address performance issues through immediate and appropriate coaching and mentoring; recognize team member’s success and contributions.
• Motivate individuals as appropriate (methods may include enlarging their responsibilities, creating flexibility-multitask etc)
• Drive with support of Maintenance, CDM activities on line and support implementation of preventive Maintenance activities
• Operate generator in case of power cut and ensure critical equipment is in good condition after power source changes.
