Job Description

The Head of HR will provide comprehensive overseeing all areas of HR management, including recruitment, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and employee relations for its school system (CISS) and business units. Head of HR will report directly to the Board of Directors, perform a full range of duties, including but not limited to:


  • Developing and implementing HR resources policies
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Evaluate staff and present performance reviews
  • Identify and consult staff needs or changes of staffing
  • Designing and directing staff events and training program
  • Be responsible for all activities of HR management for CISS and school services companies.
  • Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, HR compliance, and labour relations for both local staff and expats.
  • Manage human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity and quality; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Develop human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Accomplish special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfilment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.
  • Assist the BOD by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analysing information and applications.
  • Comply with labour law and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising BOD on needed actions.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Collaborate with other departments in new projects.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in HR management, Business Administration or relevant to HR field.
  • At least 7-10 years’ experience in international HR management, relevant position of Head of HR for K-12 education would be an advantage.
  • Having highest level of integrity and long-term commitment
  • Must be accurate and efficient, high energy; careful, meticulous, confidential
  • High teamwork spirit and responsibility
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
  • Ability to organize work independently as well as a team player, ability to observe and handle problems quickly and effectively
  • Superior interpersonal and coaching skills including patience and ability to work well with staff at all levels.
  • Hands on experience in administering a major HR software system e.g. HRIS, ERP, SAP etc.
  • Experienced in making budget
