A manufacturing company is seeking talent for Cost Accountant with details:
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Calculation and Analysis:
- Collect, calculate, and analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Monitor standard costs and update cost systems to reflect accurate production expenses.
- Perform variance analysis between standard and actual costs; investigate and explain discrepancies.
- Inventory Management:
- Track inventory usage, reconcile stock data, and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Participate in periodic physical inventory counts and verify material consumption.
- Monitor and evaluate the costs of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation.
- Reporting and Budgeting:
- Prepare detailed cost reports and production cost summaries on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates for production planning.
- Provide management with insights into cost performance and recommend areas for cost optimization.
- Cost Control and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve processes and optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and implement cost control systems and policies.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing cost-related data and explanations.
- Maintain accurate and organized cost records and documentation.
Yêu cầu công việc
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and production cost allocation.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for cost calculations and analysis.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
