Mô tả công việc

Our client is looking High-calibre candidate for the Packaging & MRO - Indirect Sourcing postion with Tasks & Duties as below:

  1. Source for packaging and MRO, to support its business growth in optical and cable products and consumer and commercial solutions.
  2. Implement supplier management programs with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals, digitization and improvement initiatives.
  3. Help local Indirect Sourcing Manager develop a world’s best-class Indirect Sourcing team in Vietnam

Supplier selection & approval:

  • Lead identification, evaluation and the approval process of new suppliers that meet company performance standards and compliance requirements, preferable in Vietnam. Drive cross functional teams including but not limited to Quality, Operations and Engineering in this undertaking. 
  • Leverage current supply base or identify new suppliers to support new product introduction (NPI).
  • Support executing and implementing Global / Regional Contracts and create decision making framework (DFM) for Make vs Buy or Supplier Selection decisions.

Pricing & Cost:

  • Work with Engineering, Operations, Category Managers, Sourcing functions and Logistics to develop target cost and lower cost alternatives. Understand all the components of related costs to know where opportunities exist that need to be addressed. Regularly conduct price benchmarking and competitive analysis.
  • Utilize and develop a broad skill set of RFQ, benchmarking and negotiation methodologies. Continuously improve technical & commercial capabilities to ensure competitiveness in pricing and other terms & conditions.
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers that address the global needs of the Division including but not limited to price, delivery, quality and service requirements. Justify the agreements to all functional budget holders on a basis of benchmarking and should-costing.

Supply Base Development & Management:

  • Establish long-term, competitive supplier relationships at high performance standards.  
  • Assess, rate and minimize risk regularly and lead mitigation efforts. Indemnify from the risks through implementation of contracts including but not limited to Terms & Conditions, Quality and Supply Agreements.
  • Monitor and manage suppliers in terms of technology roadmaps, lead-time reduction, inventory turns, cost improvement and supply assurance. Implement common Supply Strategies (Inco Terms, Mode, VMI, CRP, etc) in collaboration with Category Managers and Sourcing Centers in other countries.

Coaching:

  • Support local sourcing engineers’ growth by coaching them on the aforesaid sourcing activities and leading them by example.  
  • Help local Indirect Sourcing Manager build a world’s best-class Indirect Sourcing team in Vietnam.

Compliance:

  • Ensure at all times  procurement and requesters operate as per regulatory and legal requirements. This includes but is not limited to compliance with safety, environmental, tax, customs and ethical requirements and spend guidelines.

Best Practices:

  • Promotes the implementation of “best practices” as it relates to supply chain management.
  • Share best practices, supplier information, etc with other Procurement staff across Divisions 

Yêu cầu công việc

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 5 - 10 year procurement, sales or engineering experiences in high-tech component industry
  • 3 - 5 year procurement, sales or engineering experiences in optical fiber or cable industry
  • More than 3-year leadership experience of teams or cross-functional projects
  • Prefer CPM/CPSM, CIRM, CPIM
  • Good command of, and/or adaptability to, Office 365, Coupa and other IT applications
  • Business-level communication skills in Vietnamese and English
  • understanding of optical fiber or cable technology and their market trends
  • understanding of drawings and/or specifications of packaging
  • Ability to lead and/or actively participate in cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills
  • Understanding & analysis of Total Cost of Ownership
  • Business-level communication skills in Chinese
