PORT OPERATION MANAGER

Our client is seeking a hands-on operational leader who is comfortable working in a developing port environment, capable of building teams from the ground up, managing multiple stakeholders, and delivering strong operational and commercial results.

Key tasks:

1. Port Operations Management

• Lead and manage all port operational activities on a 24/7 basis.
• Develop vessel operation plans and cargo handling schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and resources to ensure smooth operations.
• Maximize berth utilization and cargo handling productivity.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and port regulations.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Vessel Operations Management
2. Cargo Handling & Stevedoring
3. Yard & Internal Transportation Management
4. Workforce Leadership: Lead and manage a workforce of up to 50–200 personnel
5. Equipment Management
6. HSE Management
7. Client & Stakeholder Management

Working location: My Thuy International Port (MTIP), Hai Lang District, Quang Tri Province

• Minimum 10 years of experience in port operations.
• Minimum 5 years in management roles.
• Strong experience in stevedoring and vessel operations.
• Experience managing bulk cargo terminals and general cargo operations.

Preferred

• Wind energy logistics experience.
• Heavy lift/project cargo experience.
• Experience at major ports such as:
  • Nghi Son
  • Vung Ang
  • Chan May
  • Chu Lai
  • Hai Phong
  • Tan Cang System
• Professional English communication.
• Ability to work with international clients and partners
