Job Description
As an Upper/Pattern Member, you will support product development by managing pattern data, documentation, and technical readiness throughout all sample stages:
- System & Document Management:
- Update part lists, upload shell patterns, and maintain the Development BOM (DBOM) and tracking lists in the system.
- Order and inspect cutting dies (Thomson files), and manage name tags for sample stages (CR1, CR2, SMS, MCS).
- Create pattern files, revisions, computer stitching files, and treatment files (2D/3D print, graphics, etc.).
- Track team plans, request materials for testing, and maintain process tracking on Google Sheets.
- Stage & Technical Management:
- Support shell pattern preparation and ensure the readiness of cutting dies, treatment files, and swatches for each build stage.
- Verify stitching/assembly correctness and check PFC quality during critical development stages.
- Prepare documentation packages for TTV builds, teardown meetings, and CS1 meetings.
- Proactively identify potential structural/material issues and suggest pattern solutions or CTV options based on material behavior.
- Partner with QA, PE, and Commercial teams to align on adjustments and corrections.
Job Requirement
- Experience: 5 to 7+ years of solid experience in footwear pattern development or technical development support.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of pattern construction, cutting die preparation, stitching specifications, and material behavior.
- Ability to evaluate pattern-material compatibility and suggest adjustments.
- Proficient in MIDAS software and basic Excel tracking.
- Soft Skills: Active problem-solving, early issue escalation, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Language: Basic English reading and communication skills preferred (to work with Brand and vendors).
